The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements. Before choosing a lawyer, ask for written information about qualifications and experience.

We know the local courts

Every jurisdiction and courtrooms have their own rules and their own judges. As lawyers familiar with the local courts we have insight into our local system and what needs to be done before, during, and after the conclusion of your case.

Negotiate with your prosecutors.

Most criminal cases are resolved through plea bargaining. In a plea bargain, you might agree to plead guilty to a lesser charge in exchange for a lighter sentence. If a plea bargain is a advisable for your case, we will know how to deal with prosecutors.

We try cases

Although most charged cases can be settled reasonably, by negotiations with law enforcement and prosecutors, approximately 10% to 15% of criminal cases will end up going to trial. We have gone to trial, and won, in hundreds of criminal trials, over the last 30 years, both defending the accused, and prosecuting as an Assistant District Attorney.

At the law office of Furman & Furman Attorneys, LLP we bring over 50 years of combined legal experience to individuals in Alabama and Florida. We understand a client's need to speak with their attorney, and we work hard to be available when you need to talk with us. We answer our own phones whenever possible, and strive to return all messages within 12 to 24 hours.
